reflection
alright, the certificates of halal is issued so that us Muslims in Malaysia can safely be assured that the food to be consumed is Halalun Toyyiba.
from the story of McD halal certificates being pulled by JAKIM (which JAKIM has responded via announcement at their website that McD foods are halal) to the fatwa issued by Yusof Al-Qardhawi (which mentioned that it is a jihad in avoiding and boycotting all products that goes to funding of Israel).
i know at least one reader (if there is any lah) will go against me, but here are my thought on this.
so long as McD is employing Muslims, then i will at least buy their products. i feel obliged to ensure that my fellow brothers and sisters are getting paid, and have steady source of income
until there is a replacement or substitute to what McD offers, then i'll still patronising their outlets
so long as the food is halal, then i have no problem with it.
on the issue that we should stop supporting corporations that support Israel, have we reflect back at ourself?
have we find the real reason on why they are so powerful?
because as much as they are in the dog-eat-dog world, they are united by a purpose.
for the jews, at least they have the Zionist agenda in mind. and they work together towards it.
us, Muslims in the world?
we can even hardly agree on Palestine issue(s)!
the parties to be held responsible, and for us to vent our angers are not the Israeli, the Jews or the Christians.
it's us. it's the Islamic countries. we are the ones ignoring the plights of our brothers and sisters.
and as i mentioned in my earlier entries, the Palestinian also.
i mean, i would be more than glad to sadaqah my belongings to them.
but will i get the assurance that those money, will not be used in buying rockets, weapons and bullets?
entahlah.
renung-renungkan, dan selamat beramal.
p/s: berapa ramai guna iPhone, Nokia, Sony Ericcson? guna CSL laaahh kalau betul2 nak boikot barang Israel.

the big clock tower at mekah
and of all places, at Makkatul Mukarramah?
people flock into Makkah because we want to be closer to God, as we are in the Tanah Haram, in the holiest place in Islam. the place where Hajar did the first Sa'ie between Safa and Marwah.
the place that Prophet Muhammad S.A.W liberated from the musyrikin by destroying the statues of false idols in the vicinity of Masjidil Haram.
when the money can be used to liberate the 3rd holiest place, Masjidil-Aqsa from the Zionist...
what a waste...

Harapan Ramadhan
Have you ever forwarded email(s) to friends and colleagues, email filled with hadith, some facts on the religion, some picture/video on things which may be a lesson learned to our Muslim brothers and sisters.
For example,
- the hadith on kelebihan solat tarawikh
- some facts on Osama Laden and the terrorist attacks
- "saya berikrar akan forward email ini"...
- etc
I also received them. And whenever I received this kind of email, I always check for the authenticity of it. And when my doubt is proven, I always reply back to the sender
"Thanks for the reminder. But I think that the facts in the email tu mcm questionable lah. Blah blah blah blah"
And the response I always get,
"Owh.. But as long it encourage people to do good things, and for the good cause, apa salahnya kan"
What's wrong with that u say?
In Islam, there is a saying, "Matlamat tidak menghalalkan cara" = the end does not justify the means.
Even if the intention is good, you still cannot convey false message or hope to the masses. It is called misleading. You cannot go and preach to the people with a half-cooked and false sermon and facts.
It's like saying,
"Drink vitagen. As it will make you slimmer and live a long life".
When people told you that, "hey, vitagen assists in good digestion system. It does not directly related to slimmer tummy and longer life".
So I naturally should respond, "it's ok. At least this will increase number of people drinking vitagen, and it's for their own good!"
Yes, I understand that we mean well. All we want is to share the knowledge and benefits to others, so they may want to join us as well.
But seriously, if we are to preach to others, always remember 5 attributes of the prophets and nabi- nabi Allah.
1. Siddiq / siddik / sidiq / sidik
Kapish?
