remember my entry on Morocco's decision to ban women from wearing veil?
looks like this veil-phobia is spreading in Africa.
The Tunisian authorities have launched a campaign against the Islamic veil worn by some women to cover their hair.
and quite frighteningly, this kind of news does not being reported in our local daily newspapers (i haven't stumbled on it yet)

maybe for them, this news is like some old, static running water under the bridge. couldn't be inviting suprises anymore. this world is too screwed up thus blew away the element of suprise.
seriously, it's good to have things like this happen. it's distinguish between the no iman people and with iman people. no more intermediate party which always create confusion. people who miggling around in the middle are the one who does all the destruction. for example; singapore. there are huge gap between people who really want to wear veil and who are not. people who are willing to wear veil are commited their life to religion, really living up to term of the veil and vice versa. so, you're not pening2 lalat thinking who you can trust whereby you already know that a girl with veil is good and have takwa in her heart. no doubt that the girl may "accidentally" appear in amatuer porn movie (MADE IN MALAYSIA) or commiting things that crushing the image of the veil.
now in malaysia, i really cannot believe any girl whether with veil or not (EMPHASIZE girl with veil) since too many girl with veil involving in "radical" activities. even with tudung labuh also cannot believe. cause it's happened before. and the label for student graduating from sekolah agama is total freak of sinful activities. bak kata-kata popular "NAMA JER BUDAK SEKOLAH AGAMA TAPI PERANGAI...CAM HAREM". ironically (mind my english), they're known for their tip top seducing-sizzling-koyak-rabak-tak-cukup-kain cloth. wow...they must be under enormous pressure before this.
so, siapa harus dipersalahkan? so, bagus ke benda yang jadi ni?
i always believe that "every dark cloud have silver lining". how bout you?
p/s: bet, sorry for the long comment.
hm, aku skolah agama gak, tgk ape jadi kat aku.
so aku setuju ngan mangi, hehe
:) nice comments, both of you. both reflected and related to the real world.
i believe that the wheel of lifestyle is ever-berpusing. years ago, drinking wine is a norm. then, people starts saying no to the halal things. perhaps now, the trend is occuring again?
who knows? perhaps after this we'll hv pop-yeh-yeh as our mainstream music, and body-fit kebaya as normal dress attire?
who knows?
(homer) mmmm... body-fitting kebaya... (/homer)
