a nite before and after MCKK proclamation

quick recap on what i've been thru dis past weekend..

friday nite was so fun! went to Rumah Ilham, together with Kak Aizan n Norma. the kids at Rumah Ilham were having their first English test today! had fun tho, in helping little brothers to answer the questions as correctly as possible..basically the questions are on fill-in-the-blanks and choose the best answer..after the class, the three of us went to Kepong..helped a friend of ours to "siram pokok bunga" and fed his fishes..later, had our supper at the usual CKT..accompanied by jai, azam, ca'aint, etc...the best part is dat, i am suppose to "bersiap-siap",
since i'll be driving back to Kuala Kangsar later , in the wee hours of the next morning...

nearly five o'clock in the morning, fetched Lan from his house, and we kicked-off our journey to Kuala Kangsar...reached koleq around eight something..once i set my feet onto the ground of MCKK, i felt again the warmth and the love of my beloved alma mater..just can't believe, of the fact that MCKK is 100 years old now...and the fact that SPB Agung himself proclaimed the declaration of MCKK as the National Heritage..*speechless*

Went back to home by 3 o'clock, Sunday morning..spent the whole sun-filled day with peeps...have to recharge, because later that night, i am going to Planet Hollywood..gonna watch VE performs...hehehehe..VE is awesome :)

MCKK Centennary Celebration Days

am happy to be there during the proclamation of beloved alma mater as the National Heritage..even more happy bcoz i spent the whole day with my close buddy...to make it more interesting, met my juniors..am glad bcoz altho it may have been 4 years, some of they still remember me..made me sad to hear about their current state, but amazed to know how much success they are able to achieve...

one can never write down how it feels to be a "budak koleq"..

there are lots of difference between being a thoroughbred and burung...difference between a been there done that and afraid to do so...missed the old times..when i had the super-duper genius student in my batch ready at my disposal..missed how fun it were when i spent the evening swimming and playing by the pool side...how dreadful it was to be known as burung, how we tried to deny the fact that there are somewhere the double-standard thing..but the more we get through that, the more we learned..the fact of life..that we can never run away from seniority, double-standard, the importance of behaving well in front of your rezeki...the PASSION..

most people, they love saying jokes like,"MC-Ghey-Ghey", "old boys weekend = convention of gays", "budak koleq sumer ghey"...they might say that as a joke..and i might try not to take it seriously..but inside me..GOD knows...yeah, blame me for being too emotionally attached to the old building..it is because this feeling of PRIDE of being one of the most celebrated "budak koleq" ..

MCKK might not producing top students in PMR and SPM..but from my brilliant opinion, academic results are not the only things to be used in order to measure the success of the school's products...it is by this measurement that most students have this mentality of "study-study-study"...and in the end, becomes Dull Jack...

my wish? i wish that each budak koleq would be remembered for their TRADITION..let us not abandon the tradition..as it is the only thing left to collegians..for us the old boys and our beloved present boys, to distinguish and differentiate ourselves from other schools..

it is our PRIDE,PASSION,TRADITION that made us what we are today..and that is what MCKK and budak koleq is...remove any word from the three sacred words, then there would be no budak koleq...

fiat sapientia virtus....manliness through wisdom...kecemerlangan mutu manusia...

the author is an old boy of MCKK..he is from the class of 2001...currently studying at UTP pursuing a degree in IT...doing his industrial internship at the national oil and gas company..and is thinking of pursuing his career as a network engineer

• things to do if i am the president of MPP

--- will restructure back MPP's organisational structure..will revamped it to make it more
corporate-look-and-aura-and-feeling...MPP is to be like a big holding company, like
PETRONAS...all exec members is to be like company's Managing Directors..high
position execs are to be as the CEOs, company secretary and all that stuffs..UTP
admin and fellow UTPians are to be the main shareholders, and they will have place in
the MPP's board of directors

--- events are to be revamped, mulled and start from scratch..each exec members are to
do some research and findings regarding each events. from their findings, they are to
prepare and submit new proposals and justification on why the event is to be
organised. high position execs than will vet the proposals before presenting it to the
board of directors

--- each events are to be structured as a subsisidary company of the main holding. for
example, should Convofair is to be held, a subsidiary is to be created by the holding,
namely MPP Convofair SB...

ThiS weEk ReCaP

this is a recap for the days dated back to the prehistoric day..oops!..19th March till 23rd March..

19th-20th March...these two days were the days when Malaysia is in the spotlight of yet another international event..F1 grand prix

19th..went to Sepang on the saturday, just to have the "feeling"..actually just want to have a look around.so that it will be easier for us to jalan-jalan the next day..took some photos of the sceneries, tracks, and also the promoter girls..

20th.. the race day..went to the circuit with my "sister", aizan..we bertolak from farih's house around 11 sumthing, and managed to reach sepang by 1o'clock..since i didn't buy the RM50 parking sticker, we parked the car in a walking distance from the entrance, and was charged RM20...not complaining,though...bcoz the parking attendants were very friendly.. :) ...not going to blog much about the race, except it was good..especially when schumacher (michael) did not win the podium...hehe...after the race, there was this concert being held in the middle of the circuit..and we were supposed to meet up farih and zehan..unfortunately for them, aizan and i had decided of taking a walk along the track..guess what? we ended up walking into the pit-stop :) took some pics on the activities in the pit-stop lane..and no concert for both of us,though..as we were really satisfied with those unbelievable post-race experience...

21st-24th March...as usual, back to office...on Monday, went to PERMATA (training centre of PETRONAS)..had some work to do at BDC,place where all PETRONAS servers are located..guess that's the highlight of my working days for this week..hehehe

this coming weekend, i am going back to MCKK...oh, how i missed the college..*smiling*

LazY FriDaY~

the past two days (wednesday and thursday) were soo great. Spent the days at the glamorous and wonderful Palace of the Golden Horses. Dapat stay one night some more kat situ, dah laa free-tak kluar satu sen pon sepanjang my stay there. All was supported by my host company :)

DFE (my department), was selected to represent PCSB (my host company) for the Take-5 show during PETRONAS (my "pemiutang") West Coast Quality Sharing Forum day. This event is where every OPUs are to share their achievements and findings in upholding the 5 QPs (Quality Principles). Since this event is a forum, there were lots of talks. And when there were lots of talks, people usually get bored easily. And this is where the Take-5 teams fitted into the picture. We staged sketches(sketsa-s) in order to entertain the managers, and concurrently educate them of the 5 QPs.

PCSB play was entitled, "Batman & Catwoman saves the day"..and guess what character did i played? naahh..not the Batman..instead, i was given the responsible to present myself as the Joker.. :) The play was good, considering the fact that ours was the only sketch to be shown in Manglish(85% english, the rest bahasa melayu)..It was my first time to be on stage, and talked to the audience using English. sbb biasanya kat UTP pon kalau ade sketsa pon, talk-talk in BM maa...

the downside of Palace of the Golden Horses was that, the food there was very un-resistable..i think i gained few kilos back then..haiyaa~~need to do sumting about my ever-growing waistline..ni blom kawin lagi nih...

took half-day leave today. i am supposed to be on leave this Monday (dah approved some-more), but since this Monday ade kerja yg very-the-very important, decided to bring forward my cuti to today..

anyway, this weekend i'm off to sepang. got this grandstand seat ticket(s) --DIAMOND some-more -- for tomorrow qualifying session, and hillstand ticket for the race day. perhaps on Monday, i will have a good sunburn and sun-tan :) the Diamond grandstand ticket is courtesy of my colleagues at the office

i hereby declare that i was not as productive as yesterday.not much tasks been accomplished today, except finished reviewing an article regarding ModBus (instrumentation thingy)

speaking of what i have been doing in my office, i found it somehow interesting.as Farih pointed out in one of our e-mail conversation, "ko blaja IT.keja kat engineering.manalah nak paham" honestly, when i first came reporting for duty, the first week was like,"what am i doing here?" totally lost..then slowly, i was able to understand what everything is all about..and luckily that there are several IT-related projects that are curently sedang berlangsung...so, indirectly, i am still in contact with the IT world..but the heck, everything nowadays is going to TCP/IP based..basically, we cannot run anymore from this IT-wave..

spent half of my day, sitting in front of my workstation, and sending-receiving e-mails from farih n Ms Zehan..at the end of our session (which is just b4 lunch), i counted the total of e-mails that hv been passed around..and the number is very the very high! near 90 mails were received by me..no wonder some people were complaining that their e-mail inbox were flooded with our e-mails..today's topic: bet and his MC-thingy...most of the time, farih n Ms zehan fire-fire me all the way..but a true gentleman would never use harsh words to others..able not to over-react with their e-mails contents.. people might say bad things about my alma mater, but for me, the H3LL with it..*ooops*

Pride, Passion, Tradition

typical Monday blues

i'm having the normal Monday blues...
here's a quick rundown on what happened throughout my office hours:-

• kick-off my day with good vibes.positive.perhaps my feng shui is working at last.miraculously,i arrived at the office around 7.45 am..was very the surprised when i looked at my waych, as it has been months since i arrived early to my office.perhaps by spending most of my sunday's afternoon hibernating really helps in ensuring me to wake up earlier than expected.
• the positive aura still vibrates inside me for the whole morning, as i hv been able to complete of my long due-date assignment.and in the process,impressing my BOSS! extra credit for me,though.
• simultaneously, i tried to wake up my tekadsgrcoach mailing lists member.at first,it was just me and Ms zehan.she even sarcastically wrote down, "nampak sangat bet takde keje... heheh" just when we started to gain some momentum,the others joined in as well..basically, the most active correspondents were Farih, Ms Zehan n Me.the supporting actors/actresses are sherie, cher,anas, ca'aint and azam.anas even started a poll, ca'aint contributed his masterpiece (CKT file), while sherie and azam provided us quizzes late in the evening.at the end of the office hours, seems that everybody "nampak sangat takde keje... heheh"
• had this sketch rehearsal, to be shown in front of important officers of PETRONAS this coming thursday.the script is fantastic.the casts are superb.more on this in upcoming blog.
• btw, i've just bought a ticket for this coming F1 at sepang circuit.most probably will join Ms Zehan n her colleague there.can't wait for the weekend.i hv also applied for leave this next monday, just as a pre-cautious act.
